I built systems banks trust with money. Now I build them for trade crews.
I'm Robert Turnbull. I spent 20 years building systems banks and insurers trust with money, then built Growth Engine for crews of 4 to 15.

I've spent more than 20 years designing and improving business technology for large companies. Now I apply that experience to a smaller problem with the same underlying challenges: keeping your leads, customer information, quotes, scheduling, and payments from getting lost between disconnected systems.
I worked in the trades to pay for university.
What That Experience Means for You
| What I did | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Built systems for Scotiabank and RSA Insurance where one lost record cost real money | Your customer list is safe, and nothing slips through |
| Cut hosting costs 87% for big companies | That's how I keep your monthly price low |
| Ran a dozen teams at once without things falling through the cracks | Same job as running 4 trucks and an office |
Every page here passes automated tests before it goes live: broken links, missing AI metadata, slow load times, even color contrast for colorblind visitors.
I log production issues, and I fix the underlying cause instead of patching around it.
See the Website Guarantee for the exact tools and how to run them yourself.
Where the Platform Stands Today
The website technology is finished and running on every live site. The customer list is nearly done, with the last pieces being connected. The mobile app is in its early phase. See Progress for where each part of the system stands today.
Your Work Already Earns This
A homeowner searching online can't always tell the difference between a contractor who does the job right and one who doesn't, especially when the other shop has more reviews and a bigger ad budget.
I built Growth Engine to make the quality of your work show up online the way it already shows up on the job site.
Common Questions
Who built this platform?
I did. I'm Robert Turnbull, and I've spent 20+ years designing and building computer systems for large companies.
Is this a big agency or one person?
Right now, just me. I build and set up every project myself, so nobody hands yours off partway through.
What happens if something breaks or I need a change?
You call me, the person who built it. There's no ticket queue and no hand-off to someone reading your account for the first time. The fix comes from the person who wrote the code you're running.
Why does big-company experience matter for a small trades business?
The same care that keeps a huge computer system from breaking works for a small one too: a wrong number on an invoice, or a lead lost between two apps, is the same kind of problem, smaller in scale.
Do you build multilingual websites?
Yes, the platform supports websites in more than one language. I'm especially looking to work with contractors who speak more than one language themselves: a multilingual site is one of the clearest ways to reach a homeowner community other contractors in your market aren't already serving.
